About The Ballet Coach
Sarah is from Windsor in the UK and has been dancing since the age of 3 years old. She progressed through the Cecchetti Method of classical ballet, through their Associates and Scholars’ programmes, winning the prestigious ISTD Millennium Cup for Cecchetti Classical ballet in 2001. In the same year Sarah was accepted as a Senior Associate at the Royal Ballet School.
At age 16, Sarah won a scholarship to the English National Ballet School, where she completed the two-year professional dance programme. On graduating from ENB, she went to the Rambert School, where she gained her BA (Hons) degree in Ballet and Contemporary Dance. Sarah went on to perform professionally with the English National Ballet Company in Derek Deane’s production of Swan Lake at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
In 2009 Sarah moved to Paris to dance.
After retiring from the professional dance stage owing to an injury, Sarah progressed into a teaching career. She gained her ISTD Diploma in Dance Instruction in Cecchetti Classical Ballet and was proud to pass with 100% her Diploma in Dance Education. Sarah has since built her own dance school in the Berkshire, Surrey and SW London areas and has now been teaching ballet and dance to children from as young as 2 years old all the way up to adults for over 7 years.
A message from Sarah:
“ Dear parents, my aim with The Ballet Coach Dance At Home Programme is to give you a trustworthy online ballet coaching platform that you can use to help develop your children’s self-confidence, imagination and creativity. I want to give all children the chance to learn but most of all have fun with their ballet, hopefully helping to inspire the next generation of dancers”.
